November Bucket List: Awesome Memories To Last A Lifetime

November Bucket List: Awesome Memories To Last A Lifetime

Happy Friday! It has become customary to do a “bucket list” or “activity list” on the first Friday of each month. So, today I present to you the November Bucket List!

As you know, I love fall and November is no exception.  I have a full Fall Fun List, but today I am focusing on my top five favorite activities during the month of November.

1. Make Pumpkin Pie

November is almost synonymous with Thanksgiving, which is synonymous with pumpkin pie – am I right? November is literally the only month pumpkin pies are made.

I baked my first pumpkin pie last year and it turned out great.

Are you an “I’d like a little whipped cream with my pie” kind of person or an “I’d like a little pie with my whipped cream” kind of person?  I’m the latter.  Give me ALL the whipped cream.

I used a Pillsbury Refrigerated Pie Crust and the pumpkin pie recipe on the Libby’s Pumpkin Puree can.

2. Make Fall Scented Playdough

We love playdough at our house.  For November, why not mix it up a bit and make fall-scented play dough?

3. Autumn Scavenger Hunt

November is gorgeous outside.  Take advantage of the beautiful scenery by going on an autumn scavenger hunt.

Check out this Autumn Scavenger Hunt by From Chalkboards to Strollers.  It is perfect for a simple nature walk.

For a scavenger hunt that speaks to all five senses, check out Fall Senses Scavenger Hunt by Growing Hands-On Kids.

4. Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade

I’ll be honest, I’ve never really been into the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. (gasp!) However, I think might kids would/will enjoy it.  So, we will be tuning in this year and I am pretty excited about it.  Also, it seems almost criminal to have a November Bucket List that doesn’t include this parade.

It might look a bit different this year, so check out the offical Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade website for details.

5. Practice Gratitude

Practicing gratitude has become a routine part of my day.  It has been one of the most important aspects of my mental health journey.

November is the perfect time to reset, refocus, and get everyone in your family on the gratitude train.

I spoke last year about how I try to teach my children gratitude, but there are SO MANY different ways to teach this lesson.  Try a Gratitude Pumpkin, a Gratitude Chain, or this cute Gratitude Scavenger Hunt.  Just getting the conversation started is the most important thing.
