40+ Non-Candy Easter Basket Ideas Your Kids Will Love

Non-Candy Easter Basket Ideas

Spring is just around the corner and I can hardly wait!  Warm weather, green grass, fresh flowers…insert sigh of relief. Spring also means Easter is right around the corner! As a parent, Easter is one of those holidays where candy and sweets are abundant.  I often look for things that aren’t candy-related as “Easter basket stuffers” because I know they will be getting so much candy from Easter egg hunts, Easter parties, and grandparents.  I put together a huge list of some of my favorite non-candy Easter basket ideas.

Easter Traditions

What are some of your Easter traditions?   I am a girl who loves traditions.

[check out Birthday Traditions & Christmas Traditions]

Easter morning my brother and I would hunt Easter eggs and open our Easter baskets.  It would depend on the weather whether the Easter bunny hid the eggs outside or inside.  Next, we would get ready for the Easter sunday church service.  I was usually dressed in ruffles and my brother usually had on a tie or suspenders.  After church we always went to my grandparents house for a big lunch and another Easter egg hunt.

It is so fun to see which traditions Grant and I choose to introduce to our kids.

ARTS & CRAFTS

Craft Supplies: Craft supplies are always a hit in my house.  My favorite brand, by far, is Crayola

Stickers: Stickers are always fun.  Looking for something a little more substantial?  Try sticker books or these Paint by Sticker books.

Coloring books: Pairs perfectly with a new pack of crayons or markers.

Play-Doh: Play-Doh is a great option.  There are so many colors, sizes, and accessories to choose from.

Books: Board books for the younger ones (check out my favorite place to buy board books here) and chapter books for the older ones.

Kinetic Sand: Don’t be fooled by less expensive brands claiming to be kinetic sand.  They aren’t nearly as good.

OUTDOOR FUN

Sidewalk Chalk: Standard sidewalk chalk is always fun, but don’t be scared to branch out a little bit.  There is also sidewalk chalk paintsidewalk chalk markers, and even sidewalk chalk spray paint

Seeds: Spring is the perfect time to start a simple garden with your little one.  Put a few seed packets in his/her Easter basket and have fun watching your seeds grow!

Check out Vegetable Gardens for Beginners

Bubbles: Bubbles and bubble accessories are always a hit.

Fox Tail:  These were fun toys when I was growing up.  We always played with them at my grandparent’s house.

TOYS & GAMES

SlimeSlime or a Slime Making Kit

Card Games: Uno, Phase 10, Go Fish, and Old Maid are all great Easter basket stuffers.

Puzzles: Puzzles are a fun time.  We have been loving these Family Puzzles that have different sized pieces for different ages.

Babydoll:  A small babydoll or babydoll accessores.

Board games: I share 5 of our favorite family board games here

Stuffed animals

Legos

CLOTHING & ACCESSORIES

Hair bow: You can’t go wrong with a Jojo Bow!

Jewelry: How cute are these?  Also, my daughter would lose her mind over this.  Anything Jojo Siwa-related is always a hit!

I always look for non-sweet alternatives to give for events.. While I do enjoy making and giving sweets specific to the holiday, having a non-sweet, and even non-food option in addition or as an alternate is so very useful
