Affirmations of Gratitude: How to Manifest Joy and Happiness

Thanksgiving week naturally gets me thinking about thankfulness and gratitude more than usual.  (Also, how is it possible that Thanksgiving is in 4 days?! ) I try to keep gratitude in the forefront of my mind at all times.  Some days it’s easier than others.  Some days I am more successful than others.  However, seeing as how we are nearing Thanksgiving, I am focusing today’s post on affirmations of gratitude.

What are affirmations?

Are you familiar with affirmations?  Affirmations are short, powerful, positive statements that help you maintain control of your thoughts.  You become what you think about.  Positive thoughts = a positive mind.

The Daily Goal Getter has an excellent post explaining affirmations.  Check it out here!

I am not sure if quotes meet the “textbook definition” of an affirmation, but they help me to keep a positive mind.  I turn to quotes all of the time to help get me out of a funk (Quotes for Love, Quotes for Anxiety, Quotes for a Positive Life).

I also *try* to teach my kids about gratitude.  I have a post about it here, but I’m not as consistent as I would like to be.
