Easy Nature Craft For Kids: Cute Flower Bouquet

Easy Nature Craft For Kids: Cute Flower Bouquet

Nature Craft For Kids

Yesterday I found myself with an entire Sunday afternoon with nothing to do.  All I wanted to do was sit and watch tv.  The only problem is that I didn’t really want my kids to just sit and watch tv all day.  So, as a compromise, I thought a quick craft project would help me feel less guilty about letting them veg out in front of their devices for the rest of the day.

I wanted a nature-themed craft project.  It was a beautiful day and we needed to get out and enjoy at least some of it!  I turned to Pinterest and ran across this flower craft post.  I  just knew that was the one for us!  A few months ago, I saved something similar on Instagram in my “craft inspiration” folder but never did anything with it.

Today was the day.  We had a big cardboard box from a recent delivery that I knew would be perfect.

The whole project took less than 30 minutes.  I let the kids walk around the yard and pick any flowers they wanted.  It didn’t matter if they were flowers from my garden beds or weeds in the yard.  Surprisingly, they were very picky about which flowers they wanted and where they went on their picture.

All 3 of us enjoyed this easy nature craft!

Nature Craft For Kids

This is a great nature-themed craft for younger kids.  I have found that child safety scissors are perfect for kids to use to cut flowers.  If you think your little one isn’t quite ready to use scissors independently, have them point to the flowers they want and you can do the cutting.
