The Most Creative Easter Basket Ideas That Aren't Actually Baskets

I get it, Easter baskets get pulled out 1 day a year then get stuck back in the closet until Easter rolls around again. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE a cute personalized Easter basket like this and this. Super cute!! However, I get that it isn’t always practical to keep these kinds of things stored.

I pulled together a list of 10 creative Easter basket ideas that won’t need to be stored away after Easter AND will get plenty of use in the months following Easter. It’s a win-win, right?

Creative Easter Basket Ideas

1. Umbrella

Be ready for the April showers by using a cute umbrella, like this one or this one, as an Easter basket.

2. Beach Bucket

Use a cute beach bucket, like this one, as a creative Easter basket. When Easter is over, it can go back to a sandbox toy.

3. Rain Boots

Rain boots, like these, make adorable Easter baskets. My kids LIVE in their rain boots. This was especially true when they were toddlers because they were easy to get on and off themselves.

4. Dump Truck

A dump truck, like this one, is a super creative Easter basket option! Fill the back with a little tissue paper, candy, and a few toys and you’ve got yourself the perfect Easter basket that will continue on as a fun toy once Easter is over.

Now, What Should I Put In The Basket?

Okay, so hopefully by now you have the “Easter Basket” part figured out, but what should fill it with? I like to do a mix between candy/sweets and toys. I always throw in a little sidewalk chalk, some new crayons or markers, and bubbles. I gotta get these kids prepped for all of the playing outside we are going to do in the coming months!
