It is hard to believe, but pumpkin season is just around the corner! This means most of us (as basic as it may be) will be on the hunt for all things pumpkin related…pumpkin recipes, pumpkin games, and most importantly pumpkin crafts. Today I want to focus specifically on pumpkin crafts for kids because my kids LOVE craft projects (and I love a good theme).
For anyone who doesn’t know, my kids are 5 and 3. They both LOVE crafts and ask to do them all of the time. For this post, I only selected crafts that would appropriate for kids in that 3-5 age range. That doesn’t mean older kids wouldn’t enjoy the crafts I have listed below (Heck, I think I am going to enjoy the crafts listed below just as much as the kids). I just wanted to make sure that my kids would like to do everything I selected.
Hmm…maybe I’ll do a separate post on pumpkin crafts for older kids/adults? I mean, let’s be honest, who doesn’t love a good pumpkin craft?
Easy Pumpkin Crafts for Kids
- I love this Apple Stamping Pumpkin Craft from Made To Be A Momma. It is super simple, but those kinds of crafts are generally the most fun! My kids love anything with paint, but painting with food?!?! We are definitely adding this craft to our fall crafting schedule.
- This Parts of a Pumpkin craft from Kindergarten Worksheets & Games is something a little different (at least for us). I love how it is a little more on the educational side. Also, this craft goes perfectly with my love of gardening!
- This Paper Strips Pumpkin from Color the Moon has all the makings for “the perfect craft.” What is “the perfect craft” you may ask? Anything that affords the opportunity to use scissors AND glue. My kids will definitely choose this first.
- This Tissue Paper Pumpkin craft is another super cute, super simple, and super fun pumpkin themed project.
- This Paper Bag Pumpkin from Kid Friendly Things To Do is easy for kids of all ages. My kids have done something similar daycare & preschool. They had a lot of fun doing it each and every time.
- I think I might be most excited about this Pumpkin Sewing Craft from I Heart Craft Things. I like it most because it will involve a little bit of concentration (and it doesn’t make a mess). I don’t think my kids have done a craft quite like this before, so I think they will be extra excited about it.
Really, I Just Love Fall...
Like I said, I’m a bit early for the fall themed projects, but I just can’t help myself. We love everything about fall around here! This is by no means a comprehensive list of pumpkin themed crafts. It is, however, the crafts my kids and I will tackle first.
If all goes well, I might even get a pumpkin themed snacks post (but let’s not hold our breath).
Don’t forget, I also have a Fun & Festive Halloween Treats post. These treats are perfect for any Fall/Halloween party.
