Hey, y’all! This Friday Five is going to be short & sweet. As many of you know, one of my favorite things to do with my kiddos is to go and pick fresh fruit. I’ve posted several pictures of our strawberry, blueberry, and apple-picking adventures. We love it! It such a fun way to get out of the house, do something a little different, and perhaps/hopefully learn a thing or two along the way.
I get asked quite a bit where I like to go to pick berries/apples/peaches, so I thought I’d list five of the best U-Pick fruit farms in Evansville, IN.
*Note: I do not know why I feel the need to say “y’all” in every blog post. I never say it when I am speaking, but for some reason here it just feels right?
U-Pick Fruit in Evansvile, IN
Now, when I say U-Pick fruit in Evansville, IN I mean U-Pick fruit in the Evansville area. Most U-Pick fruit farms are located on, well, farms! It’s hard to have a productive farm within city limits, which means out to the country we go! Each of these places I am mentioning is within a reasonable drive from Evansville.
1. Decker's Berries
We love going to Decker’s! Full disclosure, it is quite a haul from Evansville (30-minute drive), but a super easy drive and totally worth it. They have rows and rows and rows of blueberry bushes! They also offer raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries (seasonally, of course).
They don’t have a website, but they do have a Facebook page. I highly recommend giving them a follow because they are always posting what & when things are going to be ripe, prices, announcements, etc. As with most U -Pick situations, it’s better to be there early than late.

2. Engelbrecht's Orchard
Englebrecht’s Orchard is great for picking strawberries, cherries, peaches, apples, and pumpkins.
You can follow them on Facebookor check out their websitefor more information.
Location:
16800 Old Petersburg Road Evansville, IN 47725
3. Reimann's Farm Market
Reimann’s is a small, but mighty farm located in Darmstadt, IN. They are a pesticide-free farm, which is awesome. They offer U-Pick strawberries and sunflowers.
Another cool thing about Reimann’s is that they are also a farm stand. They sell a ton of local produce, a lot of which is grown on their own farm. They also have several fun things for kids to do while their parents shop!
Check them out on Facebookto see what they have available.
Location:
13940 Darmstadt Road Darmstadt, IN 47725
4. Wright's Berry Farm
We have yet to make it to Wright’s Berry Farm, but I’ve only heard wonderful things! I am hoping to make it there soon! Check out their Facebookpage for more info.
They offer U-Pick strawberries and blueberries.
Location:
5233 Anderson Road
Newburgh, IN 47630
5. Farview Orchard
Farview Orchard is another U-Pick farm on our radar. They offer strawberries, cherries, and apples.
