Friday Five: Kid-Friendly
Halloween Drinks
Happy Friday! As we near Halloween, we are amping up the festive fun at over at our house. This week was all about kid-friendly halloween drinks. My kid’s LOVE their jobs as my taste-testers, but they especially loved it this week.
Grant and I have taken a pretty firm stance against the kids having soft drinks. We understand that at some point in their lives they will drink them, but we don’t want to encourage it. You already know where this is going…
I was working on this week’s post, which is about kid-friendly Halloween drinks. Wyatt and Reese both saw how cute one of the drinks were, which happened to have Orange Fanta in it. How can I tell you all to give these drinks to your kids if I don’t give them to my own children? So, I made the executive decision to let them try all the drinks I am about to share with you. They were in heaven! Everything is okay in moderation, right?

Halloween Drinks
1. Boo-Nilla Milkshake
It doesn’t get much easier, or cuter than this Boo-Nilla Milkshake. A simple vanilla milkshake topped with whipped cream. The ghost face on the whipped cream is what pulls this kid-friendly Halloween drink together. Mini-chocolate chips make the perfect eyes and mouth.
2. Candy Corn Punch
I love this Candy Corn Punch by Nellie Bellie. and so do my kids! Her recipe, and the one pictured, recommend using Orange Fanta as the orange liquid, but we prefer orange juice. Orange Juice tastes better, but Orange Fanta looks better.
3. Vampire Soda
How cool does this Vampire Drink from Kid Friendly Things To Do look? I tried my hand at re-creating it and this is what I came up with.
4. Halloween Hot Chocolate
Halloween Hot Chocolate is a great kid-friendly Halloween drink option. For these I used Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate mix mixed with milk instead of water. I used food coloring to achieve a more Halloween appearance. Topped with LOTS of whipped cream, sprinkles and candy eyeballs.
5. Goosebump Halloween Punch
Goosebump Halloween Punch was inspired by Sugar & Soul. Toss a few gummy worms in the botom of a glass. Fill glass with a few scoops of Rainbow Sherbert and Lemon-Lim soda. Top with whipped cream and a few more gummy worms for garnish. Enjoy!
