Throwing together a stick figure costume takes no time at all. It’s the perfect inexpensive DIY Halloween costume for both kids and adults.
I chose to use a white shirt with white pants because I was going for the “drawn on paper” look, but any shirt and pants will work as long as they match! Black clothes with a white stick figure would give a more “skeleton vibe” which could be pretty cool too!
Supplies
White Cotton Long Sleeve T-Shirt (The cheapest I’ve found are at Hobby Lobby when they are on sale, otherwise Amazon)
Assembling a stick figure costume is very simple. Lay the clothes out flat. Place a straight line down the center of the shirt for the torso, then add the arms and leg lines.
I think electrical tape might hold up a little better than masking tape, but masking tape won’t leave any residue behind on the clothes.
The paper plate will become the face mask. I used acrylic paint to create the face, but only because that is what I had on hand. A large permanent marker would also work and wouldn’t need additional dry time as the paint does.
Feel free to create any face design you would like. I chose a simple smiley face, but don’t feel like that is your only option!
Use a stapler to attach the elastic string to the back side of the plate on each side.
