Hi! If you landed here you are probably on the hunt for printable outdoor scavenger hunts. Feel free to go ahead and scroll down, however you will miss out on all of my fun commentary!
A good, long walk is one of our favorite things to do as a family. When Wyatt had just learned to walk we would go on walks ALL OF THE TIME. It would usually take us an hour to get halfway down the street because we stopped to look at every single stick, rock, or leaf that we passed. That was fine because we were just exploring at our own pace.
Now, we are able to cover a lot more ground than before. It’s always fun to see what new things we come across. I get so happy when one of my kids notices a flower, a bug, or a tree and comments on how beautiful it is.
I’ll spare you the rest of my cute little stories and get straight to the meat of this post (you are welcome).
Outdoor Scavenger Hunts For Kids
A fun twist on our regular walks became scavenger hunts. They started with picking a letter of the alphabet and trying to find 10 items on our walk that start with that letter. It was also my attempt at making up for the fact that my son missed the entire last semester of preschool.
Occasionally we changed it up a bit. Sometimes we would stick to a certain color, or we would try to find all of the colors.
You don’t need fancy printables or worksheets to have a scavenger hunt. We didn’t have any of those things, we sort of just “winged it,” and we definitly had a lot of fun. Don’t feel like you have to be a “Pinterest mom” to be a good mom or to have fun.
Printable Outdoor Scavenger Hunts for Kids
However, I am not going to lie. I think being fancy is so much fun. These printable outdoor scavenger hunts are definitely a little “extra.”
In order to get the free printable outdoor scavenger hunt sheets, simply enter your name and email address below. An email will immediately be sent to your inbox. Easy peasy.
Also, consider grabbing these colorful clipboards (here). My kid’s love when I make things feel more “official” and, like I said, I think being fancy is so much fun!
Note: If you are already subscribed to my mailing list, you received a copy of the printables earlier this month. Unfortunately, the way my mailing list is set up, a person is only allowed to subscribe one time. Check your email. Please let me know if you do not have them.
