Hi guys! Thanksgiving has come and gone and now it’s full steam ahead toward Christmas! The final push of 2022.
I don’t know what the deal is, but I have been in a super crafty mood lately. Craft projects you find online can be overwhelming. There is usually a lengthy supply list and very detailed instructions. The author makes everything look so simple, but it’s definitely not. In these cases, more often than not, the craft ends up as a “Pinterest Fail”.
Crafts don’t have to be elaborate or expensive to be beautiful. Today, I want to show you a few simple Christmas craft projects using sticks from my backyard. I dare you to find something less expensive than sticks!
These simple Christmas crafts with sticks are the perfect holiday project for any age! Kids will have fun wrapping and tying, but leave the hot gluing for the adults.
Christmas Crafts With Sticks
As I said, Christmas crafts don’t have to be elaborate or expensive. My kids and I had so much fun putting together these Christmas crafts with sticks.
All you need for these projects are a few sticks, yarn, hot glue, and some ribbon. Grab those supplies and let’s get started!
Christmas Tree
A simple Christmas tree! How cute is this little guy?
Use hot glue to create the triangle outline. Tie the green yarn onto the triangle then let your child wrap it as he/she sees fit.
Use hot glue to attach ornaments, a star, and a little stick trunk.
Star
A simple star! These can be made in any size you need or want.
Find five sticks all the same shape and size. Use hot glue to attach the sticks in a star pattern. *It’s a good idea to lay out the sticks before you start gluing.
Tie yarn to the star and let your kiddo get to wrapping.
Ribbon Tree
This cute little ribbon tree is the perfect way to use up scrap fabric or scrap ribbon. I used ribbon for mine, but using scrap fabric would make the tree a bit more full.
Tie ribbon or fabric to a stick or cinnamon stick. Top with a star and a burlap string and you are ready to go!
