Who is ready to decorate pumpkins? It is almost that time and I AM READY! Today I have for you pumpkin decorating for kids. A few of these pumpkin decorating tools we have used and loved, and a few are brand new that I want to try this year.
Pumpkin carving/decorating is such a fun family tradition! I like to wait until just before Halloween to carve pumpkins. A week or two before is best. If you carve too early you risk having a rotten pumpkin on Halloween night.

1. Pumpkin Teeth
Pumpkin Teeth are so much fun! They come in all sorts of shapes and styles. They also add a unique look to your carved pumpkin. We have several sets of these and use them every year.
2. Carving Kit
You can’t carve pumpkins without your traditional pumpkin carving kit. I think they sell similar kits at just about every single store you can think of during the month of October. Grocery stores, craft stores, drug stores…they are everywhere! Sure, a big spoon and a kitchen knife work just as well, but there is something special about buying a “carving kit.” I think it makes the whole process a little more exciting!
3. Pumpkin Punchers
I have never seen anything like this before, but I am intrigued. These pumpkin punchers are basically cookie cutters for your pumpkin. You place them in the design you want, then hammer them in to cut out that shape.
I also like that they are a little safer for younger kids to use. I would feel more comfortable letting Wyatt use these pumpkin cutters than giving him a knife to carve. We will be giving these a try this year.
4. Pumpkin Stickers
Pumpkin Stickersare one of my favorites because they don’ t make a mess. Carving is great and all, but its such a job to get everything cleaned up after.
Pumpkin stickers are perfect for young ones to get in on the pumpkin decorating fun.
5. Pumpkin Gutter
I have never seen anything like this before, but I think I need one. ThisPumpkin Gutter would make the gross job of gutting the pumpkin a lot easier.
